Why Miss Huldah?

It's a cultural custom to call the older female family friend "Miss...".  It is a way of showing respect in an acceptable practice; like granting the honorary "Auntie"  status.

Why Momlettes?

I enjoy making omelets. One day while in the process of making making one, the thought came to me for the name of the blog because I started with the basic recipe then added ingredients that were in the fridge and I have a unique creation of letters, letters from a Mom. The foundation for this blog or the beginning, is the Word of God,  His Word was the the basic manual in our home when raising our children...the basic recipe is Proverbs One: The Fear (Reverence) of the Lord is the beginning of Knowledge..

Our children, yours and mine are fearfully and wonderfully made as Psalm 139:14 tells us and with that spectacular knowledge raising them with reverence for the Lord, their Maker,  enables us as Moms to bring forth and fulfill their uniqueness.

My husband and I found that family devotions on a regular basis enabled us to do that. We started when our children were four and seven and used the Living Bible for children (the translation was everyday English)

So, with that in mind we begin this journey. Tomorrow is the first of the month; read or let them read Proverbs One to your children and ask them to comment on what they've heard or read...
