What’s the Biggest Challenge Facing Your Family Right Now?
Good Morning, this is Miss Huldah sending you a "Momlette" for the challenge of today.
- What is the biggest challenge facing you today? Is it keeping your family warm or is it keeping your sanity while facing economic pressure? You may be surprised to know there is One answer for both. Layering!
Survival Literature recommends the “Three Layering System” (3 layers of clothing make for the best heat retention and cooling to keep from overheating). When being active outdoors on winter days your body will create heat. As your body continues to produce heat but then needs to cool down, and if the cooling is not absorbed correctly you become chilled. You already know about the importance of layering when going out to shovel the snow. You always dress the children in layers when they go outdoor to ice-skating or sledding,
- Prayer Layering is also a Three Layer System; Father, Son and Holy Spirit, if your biggest challenge is maintaining your sanity while losing job, home, and or financial security.
- My family and I faced the same difficult economic situation of financial stress three times during the seventies and eighties. I'm sharing with families facing the current economic downturn our survival prayer aides.
Right off the bat I tell you we would not have survived with such great victory had it not been for that layering prayer system that I’ll call a GPPS God’s Prayer-Positioning System. It’s important for you to know that prayer helped us to quiet our disquieted souls for our lived, just like yours, were turned upside down. Prayer enabled us to survive; it didn’t make anything go away like a magic pill. We learned the faithfulness of the Lord and the Power of Prayer!
Layer One: Believe the Lord is Who He says He Is: The God of all Comfort ( 2 Corinthians 1)
"Now without faith it is impossible to please God, for whoever comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who diligently search for him." Hebrews 11:6."
Put on the layer of belief that comfort will come as you believe. The God of all Creation is who He says He Is.
