Happy Father's Day to the Many Loving Dads!
"Daddy's Home!"
It started as a "Love on Daddy Night" when our children were four and seven.. My husband's commute was hard on the family, especially our children (three hours each way) caused him to leave before the children were up; he usually arrived after their bedtime; bedtime hugs and kisses from Daddy were limited to weekends for many years.
Just preparing for it gave the kids joy..it was a big party with hats, favors, balloons. They made up a skit sang songs learned in Sunday School; nursery school in the case of the younger one. It was goofy, silly and Dad loved it.
